2007 Scholarships Available

All 2nd Year Engineering and Geology students are encouraged to apply

Scholarships are open to students undertaking the Bachelor Degree in the following disciplines, to support study in the second, third and fourth years of the program:

- Mining Engineering
- Metallurgy/Mineral Processing
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Geology

Selection is based on an interview with Xstrata North Queensland.

The value of the scholarship is $8,000 per annum per year, with $4,000 being paid directly to the recipient by Xstrata North Queensland at the beginning of each semester in the second, third and fourth years.

This industry scholarship may not be held at the same time as any other significant industry scholarship.

Xstrata North Queensland will offer the recipient paid industry vacation employment for three months during the second and third year from December to February.
